Biography
Dr. Ayhan Tetik was born in Ankara in 1979. After completing high school at Istanbul Kabataş Boys High School, he graduated first in his class from Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 2006.
That same year he began doctoral training in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry, and in 2012 he earned his PhD and the title of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Also in 2012 he was appointed to the teaching staff of Ege University Faculty of Dentistry. After two years he left academia, and in 2014 he was appointed to the Maxillofacial Surgery department of the Ministry of Health İzmir Training Dental Hospital.
After serving as the responsible clinical physician at İzmir Training Dental Hospital for six years, he now provides care at his private clinic, which he has run since 2020. He has also provided surgical services at Üçkuyular Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic since 2012.
His areas of special interest are dental implants, impacted tooth surgery, treatment of jaw cysts and tumours, pre-prosthetic surgery, surgical treatment of mouth, tooth and facial injuries, and treatment of temporomandibular joint and oral diseases. He is married and has one child.
